परिभाषा / व्याख्या
हम routines, habits, and facts के लिए Present Simple और actions happening now या temporary situations के लिए Present Continuous इस्तेमाल करते हैं। दोनों रूप एक जैसी क्रियाएँ बता सकते हैं, लेकिन अर्थ बदल जाता है। I work here सामान्य तथ्य जैसा लगता है, जबकि I am working here this week टएमपओरअरय लगता है। रोज़मर्रा की अंग्रेज़ी में काल चुनने के लिए यह सबसे महत्वपूर्ण कओनटरअसटस में से एक है।
मुख्य नियम
- हअबइटस के लिए present simple का उपयोग करें: I work here every day.
- फअकटस के लिए present simple का उपयोग करें: Water boils at 100°C.
- अभी हो रही क्रियाएँ के लिए present continuous का उपयोग करें: I am working right now.
- टएमपओरअरय स्थितियाँ के लिए present continuous का उपयोग करें: She is living with her aunt this month.
- समय वओरडस मदद करते हैं: every day अक्सर Present Simple के साथ; now / today / at the moment अक्सर Present Continuous के साथ।
उदाहरण
- I work here every day, but today I am working from home. - मैं यहाँ हर दिन काम करता/करती हूँ, लेकिन आज मैं घर से काम कर रहा/रही हूँ।
- She drinks tea every morning, but now she is drinking coffee. - वह हर सुबह चाय पीती है, लेकिन अभी कॉफ़ी पी रही है।
- We play football on Sundays, but today we are playing tennis. - हम रविवार को फ़ुटबॉल खेलते हैं, लेकिन आज टेनिस खेल रहे हैं।
- He lives in Berlin, but this week he is staying in Paris. - वह बर्लिन में रहता है, लेकिन इस हफ्ते पेरिस में ठहरा हुआ है।
- The shop opens at nine, and people are waiting outside now. - दुकान नौ बजे खुलती है, और अभी लोग बाहर इंतज़ार कर रहे हैं।
सामान्य गलतियाँ
- ❌ I am going to the gym every Monday. -> ✅ I go to the gym every Monday.
- ❌ She reads a book now. -> ✅ She is reading a book now.
- ❌ We are living in Spain every summer. -> ✅ We live in Spain every summer.
सुझाव
- खुद से पूछें: “क्या यह रओउटइनए है या अभी हो रहा है?” यही सवाल अक्सर सही काल देता है।
