Definizione / Spiegazione
I connettivi temporali collegano due azioni e mostrano come si relazionano nel tempo. Parole come when, before, after e while aiutano a spiegare ordine o sovrapposizione. Sono molto comuni in istruzioni, storie e piani quotidiani. Per esempio, before mostra che un'azione avviene prima, mentre while mostra che due azioni avvengono nello stesso momento. Queste piccole parole rendono i rapporti temporali molto più chiari.
Regole chiave
- Usa when per un momento collegato a un'altra azione: Call me when you arrive.
- Usa before per un'azione precedente: Wash your hands before you eat.
- Usa after per un'azione successiva: We went home after the film ended.
- Usa while per azioni che avvengono nello stesso momento, spesso con un'azione di sfondo più lunga.
- Dopo questi connettivi, usa una proposizione normale con soggetto e verbo.
