Usiamo il Present Simple per routine, abitudini e fatti. Usiamo il Present Continuous per azioni che avvengono ora o situazioni temporanee. Le due forme possono descrivere azioni simili, ma il significato cambia. I work here suona come un fatto normale, mentre I am working here this week suona temporaneo. Questo contrasto è una delle scelte di tempo più importanti nell'inglese quotidiano.

- Usa il Present Simple per le abitudini: I work here every day.
- Usa il Present Simple per i fatti: Water boils at 100°C.
- Usa il Present Continuous per azioni che avvengono ora: I am working right now.
- Usa il Present Continuous per situazioni temporanee: She is living with her aunt this month.
- Le parole di tempo aiutano: every day va spesso col Present Simple; now / today / at the moment va spesso col Present Continuous.
