過去について推論するときは、 modal + have + past participle を使います。これは「以前に何が起きた可能性が高いか」を後から判断する形です。must have は強い肯定推論、might have は可能性、can't have は強い否定推論を表します。事実の報告ではなく、証拠や結果に基づく解釈です。
主要ルール
- 形: must have / might have / may have / could have / can't have + past participle。
- must have: 過去への強い肯定推論。
- might have / may have / could have: 過去の可能性。
- can't have: 過去への強い否定推論。
