定義 / 解説
idioms は、個々の単語から意味を完全には推測しにくい固定表現です。チャンクとして機能するため、語順・冠詞・前置詞を自由に変えることはできません。小さな変更でも不自然になったり、慣用的意味が崩れたりします。 B2 では「たくさん使う」より「固定性を崩さず使う」ことが重要です。
主要ルール
- idioms は丸ごと覚える: in the same boat, under the weather。
- 許容される場合以外、冠詞・前置詞・語順を変えない。
- 時制変化が可能な場合でも核表現は維持する。
- 文字通りの文法発想だけでは正形を予測できない。
- register と tone を意識して使う。

- I am feeling under the weather. - 体調がよくありません。
