定義 / 解説
Present Simple passive は、行為者より行為・結果・対象に焦点を置く形です。形は am/is/are + past participle。行為者が不明、重要でない、自明な場合に使います。規則、案内、説明、報告でよく使われます。
主要ルール
- 形: am/is/are + past participle。
- 行為者が焦点でないときに使う。
- 能動文の目的語が受動文の主語になる。
- 行為者が必要なときだけ by + person。
- 手順説明に多い: Tea is grown in many countries.
例文
- English is spoken here. - ここでは英語が話されています。
- The bills are paid monthly. - 請求書は毎月支払われます。
- Coffee is served after lunch. - コーヒーは昼食後に提供されます。
- New staff are trained every week. - 新しいスタッフは毎週研修を受けます。
- The door is locked at night. - ドアは夜に施錠されます。
