定義 / 解説
defining relatives は「どの人・どの物か」を特定する節です。who（人）、which（物）、that（両方で可）を使います。必須情報なので通常コンマは使いません。
主要ルール
- 人: who。
- 物: which。
- 日常では that が広く使える。
- defining では通常コンマなし。
- 修飾対象名詞の直後に置く。
例文
- That is the man who helped me. - あれが私を助けてくれた男性です。
- This is the book that I like. - これが私の好きな本です。
- The girl who sits there is my sister. - そこに座っている女の子は私の妹です。
- I need a phone that works well. - よく動く電話が必要です。
- The dog which lives next door is very friendly. - 隣に住む犬はとても人なつこいです。
よくある間違い
- ❌ That is the man which helped me. -> ✅ That is the man who helped me.
- ❌ This is the book, that I like. -> ✅ This is the book that I like.
- ❌ I need a phone who works well. -> ✅ I need a phone that works well.
