定義 / 解説
be の過去形は was/were です。過去の状態・場所・気分を述べるときに使います。 affirmative では did を使いません。
主要ルール
- was: I/he/she/it と単数。
- were: you/we/they と複数。
- 完了した過去時点と一緒に使う。
- 否定は wasn't/weren't。
- 疑問は語順を入れ替える。
例文
- I was tired yesterday. - 私は昨日疲れていました。
- She was at work this morning. - 彼女は今朝仕事にいました。
- It was very cold last night. - 昨夜はとても寒かったです。
- We were at home on Sunday. - 私たちは日曜日に家にいました。
- They were happy after the game. - 彼らは試合後うれしそうでした。
よくある間違い
- ❌ I were tired yesterday. -> ✅ I was tired yesterday.
- ❌ They was at home. -> ✅ They were at home.
- ❌ She didn't be happy. -> ✅ She wasn't happy.
