정의 / 설명
defining relatives는 "어떤 사람/사물인지"를 특정하는 절입니다. who(사람), which(사물), that(둘 다 가능)을 사용합니다.
핵심 규칙
- 사람에는 who를 쓴다.
- 사물에는 which를 쓴다.
- 일상 영어에서는 that도 널리 쓴다.
- defining relative clause에는 보통 쉼표를 쓰지 않는다.
- 수식받는 명사 바로 뒤에 둔다.
