정의 / 설명
상급 문장에서는 linker/preposition 뒤에 분사 형태를 써서 문장을 간결하게 만듭니다. 전치사 뒤에는 보통 -ing가 옵니다.
핵심 규칙
- 전치사 뒤에는 주로 verb-ing
- when/while 뒤는 절 또는 -ing 형태 가능
- 고정 패턴: in spite of + -ing, instead of + -ing, by + -ing
- 전치사 바로 뒤에 to + verb를 두지 않는다.
- 지시문/포멀 문체에서 자주 쓰인다.
