정의 / 설명
non-defining relative clauses는 이미 특정된 명사에 추가 정보를 더합니다. 필수 정보가 아니므로 보통 콤마로 구분합니다.
핵심 규칙
- who / which / whose / (where) 등을 사용
- 문중 삽입 시 앞뒤를 콤마로 구분
- 표준적으로 non-defining에서는 that을 잘 쓰지 않는다.
- 절은 부가 정보이며 핵심 식별 정보가 아니다.
- 절을 빼도 문장의 중심 의미는 유지된다.
