Preposições de tempo e lugar são palavras curtas, mas causam muitos problemas porque o inglês as usa em muitos padrões fixos. Os alunos geralmente conhecem os significados principais de in, on e at, mas ainda cometem erros em combinações comuns. Isso acontece porque a escolha nem sempre depende só de lógica. No B1, é útil focar em padrões cotidianos de alta frequência como at 9, on Monday, in the morning, on the bus e in a car. Dominar esses blocos melhora precisão e fluência.
Regras principais
- Use at para horários exatos e pontos: at 9, at the station.
- Use on para dias, datas e superfícies: on Monday, on the wall.
- Use in para períodos longos, áreas, salas e veículos como carros: in July, in the room, in a car.
- Normalmente dizemos on the bus/train/plane, mas in a car/taxi.
- Aprenda blocos comuns como in the morning, at night, on time, in time.
