Definition / Förklaring
Rörelseprepositioner visar riktning från en plats till en annan. Ord som to, into, out of, from, through och across hjälper till att förklara hur någon eller något rör sig. De skiljer sig från plats-prepositioner, som visar position, inte rörelse. Till exempel beskriver in the room plats, medan into the room beskriver rörelse. Små prepositionsändringar kan ändra bilden på ett viktigt sätt.
Huvudregler
- Använd to för rörelse mot en plats: go to school.
- Använd into för rörelse från utsidan till insidan: walk into the room.
- Använd out of för rörelse från insidan till utsidan.
- Använd across för rörelse från ena sidan till den andra.
- Använd through för rörelse inne i ett utrymme eller område.
- Använd along, up och down för riktning längs en linje eller yta.

- Go into the room. - Gå in i rummet.
- Walk across the street. - Gå över gatan.
- She ran out of the house. - Hon sprang ut ur huset.
- We drove through the tunnel. - Vi körde genom tunneln.
- They came from the station. - De kom från stationen.
Vanliga misstag
- ❌ Go in the room. -> ✅ Go into the room.
- ❌ Walk through the street. -> ✅ Walk across the street.
- ❌ She ran out from the house. -> ✅ She ran out of the house.
