Definition / Förklaring
Discourse markers är ord och fraser som hjälper till att organisera tal och skrift. De visar attityd, kontrast, ordning, exempel, resultat eller ämnesbyte. Exempel är actually, anyway, for example, in fact, by the way och well. De ändrar vanligtvis inte huvudgrammatiken i meningen, men gör kommunikationen lättare att följa. På B1 är de viktiga eftersom de förbättrar flyt och hjälper idéer att kopplas ihop mer naturligt.
Huvudregler
- Använd discourse markers för att vägleda lyssnaren eller läsaren.
- Vissa markörer lägger till kontrast: however, actually.
- Vissa för samtalet vidare: anyway, so.
- Vissa lägger till exempel: for example, for instance.
- I tal låter discourse markers ofta naturligt och hjälper flytet.

Vanliga misstag
- ❌ Actually I don't agree. -> ✅ Actually, I don't agree.
- ❌ We need more time, for example let's meet tomorrow. -> ✅ We need more time. For example, let's meet tomorrow.
- ❌ By the way did you send the file? -> ✅ By the way, did you send the file?
