Comparatives ใช้เปรียบเทียบคน สิ่งของ หรือสถานที่ 2 อย่าง เรามักใช้ -er กับ adjective สั้น และใช้ more กับ adjective ที่ยาวกว่า วิธีนี้ช่วยให้บอกได้ว่าสิ่งหนึ่งมีคุณสมบัติมากกว่าอีกสิ่งหนึ่ง เช่น bigger, cheaper, หรือ more comfortable Comparatives มีประโยชน์มากในชีวิตประจำวันเวลาต้องเลือก อธิบาย หรือแสดงความเห็นง่าย ๆ

กฎสำคัญ

• ใช้ -er กับ adjective สั้นหลายคำ: small -> smaller, cheap -> cheaper
• ใช้ more กับ adjective ยาวหลายคำ: more comfortable, more interesting
• ใช้ than เพื่อเชื่อมส่วนที่สองของการเปรียบเทียบ: My bag is bigger than yours.
