การทำรูปปฏิเสธใน Present Continuous คือเติม not หลัง am/is/are และการทำคำถามคือย้าย am/is/are มาไว้หน้า Subject ส่วน Verb หลักยังคงเป็นรูป -ing ทั้งในปฏิเสธและคำถาม โครงสร้างนี้ใช้ถามสิ่งที่กำลังเกิดขึ้นตอนนี้หรือบอกว่าสิ่งนั้นไม่ได้เกิดขึ้นตอนนี้ รูปย่ออย่าง isn't และ aren't ใช้บ่อยมาก
กฎสำคัญ
- รูปปฏิเสธ: I am not working, he is not working, they are not working
- รูปย่อใช้บ่อย: isn't, aren't
- รูปคำถาม: Are you working? / Is she coming?
- ในคำถามให้วาง am/is/are หน้า Subject
- ใช้คำตอบสั้น: Yes, I am. / No, he isn't.
