大多数英语名词通过加 -s 或 -es 构成复数。谈到一个以上的人、物或动物时要用复数形式。很多名词直接加 -s，但一些常见拼写模式要用 -es。掌握这些规则复数是学习不规则复数前的重要第一步。
关键规则
- 很多名词加 -s：cat -> cats, book -> books。
- 以 s, ss, sh, ch, x, z 结尾时加 -es：bus -> buses, box -> boxes。
- 复数名词常和数字连用：two bags, five students。
- 复数名词通常搭配 are，不是 is。
- 数字后若是不可数名词，通常不加 -s；如基础语法中 two waters 通常不正确。

- These books are new. - 这些书是新的。
