当听者或读者能明确知道我们指的是哪一个人或事物时，用 the。它通常指特定、已知或前文已提到的对象。比如先说 I saw a dog，之后就可以说 the dog。当双方都知道语境时，这个冠词非常常见。
关键规则
- 当事物是特指时用 the：the window，不是任意窗户。
- 当听者已知道你指什么时用 the。
- 当语境使对象明确时用 the：Close the door.
- the 可与单数、复数及部分不可数名词连用。
- 不是因为名词单数就一定用 the，还必须是特指。
